Drink & Draw: Mindfulness Edition
In support of Mental Health Awareness Month

This month is mental health awareness month and to celebrate and provide a safe space to hold creatives, drink and draw will be partnering with Oakleaf, a Guildford based mental health charity who have been supporting adults in the Surrey community for over 26 years.

We will be joined by Jen Clay, Deputy CEO of Oakleaf and chief of Fundraising & Engagement, who will speak about the charity and a guest speaker to lead us in a mindfulness session.

We'll have some drawing prompts from singer/songwriter Poppy, who will be onstage performing and the event will be hosted by our Youth Ambassador Molly Mckenna.

Please do join us for a gentle evening, you can just sit and draw, or take part in some mindfulness or simply take in the music around you.

A monthly creative happening at the venue. Drink & Draw is the perfect place to enjoy drawing, and getting to know the Guildford's creative community; run by local illustrator, Andrew Thomson.


Bring your sketchbooks, pens, pencils, and if you're feeling generous, some of your favourite equipment to share; or feel free to make use of the in-house materials on offer (paper, pens, pencils, inks, charcoal). Thomson is on-hand to offer drawing tips and advice if needed; and there's also a whole heap of arty books for inspiration, and drawing games too!

Drink & Draw is free to attend, but donations gratefully received to help us fund future drawing events - life drawing, artist tutorials, sketching trips and more!
