RBG Kew, Richmond.
Selected dates, 30 March to 23 November 2020 (excluding August)
Join us for a fun-filled, child-led adventure in the inspirational surroundings of Kew Gardens, as we investigate nature though hands-on activities and outdoor exploration. Children aged 2-5 and their parents/ carers connect with and learn from nature together, helping to build confidence and a sense of adventure. Sessions follow a relaxed routine with some activities indoors and some outdoors, whatever the weather (so please dress accordingly).Typical activities include nature-based crafts, sensory play, seed planting, story time, and seasonal nature hunts. Each month we focus on a different theme, see below for details:
- 30 March: Signs of Spring - Make daffodil art, plant a seed and go on a Spring scavenger hunt.
- 27 April: What is a Seed? - Scoop and sort different types of seeds, plant a sunflower and go on a fun seed hunt.
- 18 May: Bees and Pollination - Investigate our bee-friendly sensory play-doh, make a bee puppet and practice your 'waggle dance', before heading outdoors in search for bees!
Please note, these tickets do not include entry to the Gardens. You can buy a ticket to enter the Gardens here
Each session is 90 minutes long and is held in the Davies Exploration House, behind the Temperate House. Please allow time to walk from the gates to the venue, approximately 15 minutes from Victoria Gate.
