Join Queer Bruk, and some of the faces you know and love, for an early evening party that celebrates every aspect of black British creativity and music. Queer Bruk are showcasing some of the best of black queer talent the UK has to offer. Special guest for the evening is RnB sensation Tiana Major9.  They are joined by the incredible Donnie Sunshine and the gifted Talia A Daaling, for an evening set to be an amazing reflection of community - a place to get together, enjoy each other and vibe to incredible music.  

R&B singer Tiana Major9 is from Newham, East London. They’ve worked with the likes of Stormzy and Lucky Daye, and achieved worldwide recognition after being nominated for a Grammy Award for their song Collide with EarthGang from the Queen & Slim soundtrack. Some of Tiana Major9's most well-known solo singles include Same Space and Think About You. They have also featured on Stormzy's sophomore album Heavy Is The Head on the song Rainfall.

Talia A. Darling is a Multi Genre DJ with a Special love for Dancehall which pays homage to her Caribbean heritage, Grime and UKG - which celebrates her Black British culture. She is guaranteed to bring tons of energy and has played to crowds at Parklife, Leeds Festival and Mighty Hoopla Festival. Talia is all about celebrating your body and being yourself; showcasing beauty and fashion at any size.

Donnie Sunshine is an East London based multidisciplinary creative specialising in DJing, photography and content creation. Donnie’s DJ sets transcends genres as he often slides through an array of musical era's and sounds, reintroducing forgotten cult classics as well as debuting current niche selections keeping the energy high and vibes euphoric.

ueer Bruk is an inclusive platform, club night and movement that aims to bridge the gap between Afro-Caribbean music and culture within the queer nightlife scene. They create spaces for black and brown queer people to be free to vibe, party and build connections.  



This event takes place in the British Library Entrance Hall and includes access to the exhibition Beyond the Bassline: 500 Years of Black British Music.  

Tickets for this event are pay-what-you can, minimum £7.50. Advance booking is essential.
